COVID-19 update

COVID-19 infection continues to be a concern in our community. There are new variants discovered leading to new travel guidelines and restrictions, new treatments discovered, and new vaccine guidelines. Rest assured that we at Oak Hills Family Practice are here to support you and help guide you through the ever-changing environment surrounding the treatment, follow-up, and guidelines surrounding COVID-19.

We offer same day sick appointments. We ask that you call before you come so that you can be appropriately triaged.

Wear a mask to your appointment if you are not fully vaccinated and if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.  Fully vaccinated patients are not required to wear a mask as long as they are asymptomatic.

We offer COVID-19 testing in the office. This can be billed to your insurance or the self-pay rate is $75.

IF you test positive at home or at a pharmacy, we can treat you in-office or by a telemedicine appointment. Telemedicine appointments are offered during office hours Monday-Friday and Saturday 10-2 pm. Please call the office to be scheduled for a telemedicine appointment.

We offer Moderna and J & J COVID-19 vaccines.

You should quarantine if you have close contact with someone who has COVID-19 (within 6 feet of the person for a total of 15 minutes or more) unless you are fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after their exposure even if they don’t have symptoms.

You can stop your quarantine if you remain asymptomatic at day 10, or after day 7 after receiving a negative test.  (test must occur on day 5 or later).

If you think or know that you had COVID, you can be around others 10 days since symptoms first appeared and 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving.

Please call the office if you have any questions or concerns.  903-534-0911
